“That’s the way to sanctify yourself by keeping the commandments of God.”

21 01 2015

Elder Gill and I had another super fun week! The weeks where you work hard and have fun doing it are the best and we have been having a lot of those lately! We found a few new investigators and had some come to church which is about the best feeling in the WORLD!

This Saturday we will get Transfer calls…I’m pretty nervous because there is a good chance that I will get transferred since Elder Gill will be done with his training.. I’ve come to love this ward, this area, and Elder Gill so much. I remember how it felt being transferred last time and I’m not super excited about that, but I know that it was probably one of the best times of growth for me during my mission. When we put ourselves in uncomfortable positions, that’s when we grow the most and I am looking forward to that!

Something that I’ve been studying lately is how I can learn and grow constantly. I want to be more diligent in my work as a missionary and have my increase comparable to an escalator instead of an elevator. I think sometimes I focus on too many things at once! There is so much that I want to learn and understand but I would be better off learning grace by grace. Principal by Principal. Even Jesus Christ came into this world and learned that way. It’s something that I think we can all work on. Just choose one thing that you want to be better at, pray that you will be assisted and strengthened through the enabling powers of the atonement, and then strive each and every day to do better! Then continue in those habits once you have gained those skills. Then move to the next thing you want to work on. We don’t need to learn everything all at once. We are given this life to learn and grow. As long as we are diligent in continuing to do so, all will be well!

“The most important of all the commandments of God is that one that you are having the most difficulty keeping today. If it is one of dishonesty, if it is one of chastity, if it is one of falsifying, not telling the truth, today is the day for you to work on that until you have been able to conquer that weakness. Put that aright and then you start on the next one that is most difficult for you to keep. That’s the way to sanctify yourself by keeping the commandments of God.”
Harold B Lee

Everything is going well here in CRM! I’m loving those I’m serving with and those that we are teaching! I wouldn’t have it any other way! I appreciate all of the love, support, and prayers that I receive from all of you! I really really do feel it each and every day! I hope everything is going well for all of you and please don’t hesitate to ask if I can every help you with anything at all! Love you all!
