Everything I did for the last 2 years, I did for Jesus Christ

3 05 2016

Well I don’t really know what to say! This past week has been great and this upcoming week will be great as well. They tell me that I’m going home next week but I haven’t really been convinced yet… It just doesn’t seem real.

I’ve loved every second of my mission and I’m convinced that there will never be a day that passes without me thinking about it. I’ve learned so much. I’ve felt the grace and love of my Savior like never before. I know that He lives and I love him.

The Gospel of Jesus Christ is amazing. It is the good news! The good news is that God loves us. Infinitely, eternally, forever, always, no matter what, no matter who, no matter where. God loves all of his children. We are all one big family. Families are eternal. They are one of God’s greatest gifts and expressions of Gods love.

Jesus Christ is the Savior and Redeemer of the World. He has overcome the world and there is no trial, hardship, pain, or any setback that we will ever feel or face that Christ has not already taken upon himself. Through him we can overcome the world. He is the Christ.

Christ

The anointed (Greek) or Messiah (Hebrew). Jesus, who is called Christ, is the firstborn of the Father in the spirit and the Only Begotten of the Father in the flesh. He is Jehovah and was foreordained to His great calling in the Grand Councils before the world was. He was born of Mary at Bethlehem, lived a sinless life, and wrought out a perfect atonement for all mankind by the shedding of His blood and His death on the cross. He rose from the grave and brought to pass the bodily resurrection of every living thing and the salvation and exaltation of the faithful.

He is the greatest Being to be born on this earth—the perfect example—and all religious things should be done in His name. He is Lord of lords, King of kings, the Creator, the Savior, the God of the whole earth, the Captain of our salvation, the Bright and Morning Star. He is in all things, above all things, through all things, and round about all things; He is Alpha and Omega, the first and the last; His name is above every name and is the only name under heaven by which we can be saved.

He will come again in power and glory to dwell on the earth and will stand as Judge of all mankind at the last day
2 John 1:12
12 Having many things to write unto you, I would not write with paper and ink: but I trust to come unto you, and speak face to face, that our joy may be full.

Thank you so much for you love and support! Ill see YALL next week!

Love,

Elder Fischer

Multi-Zones, Elder Dyer, and Sacrament Meeting Talks!

27 04 2016

It was another busy week! I was able to see a lot of old friends. Our two zones happened to be together for my last multi-zone! Elder Dyer also bought me some new Kobe 11’s…..He is just too charitable… He is the best!

I also gave a talk in Sacrament Meeting this past week. It was actually the first talk that I’ve given during my entire mission but I was happy to do it. I spoke on the most recent conference talk by Elder Renlund. It is a great talk and I’ld encourage you all to read it:) It’s titled “That I Might Draw All Men Unto Me”.
Sorry I don’t really have much time but I’ll do my best to be better next week! I hope you all have a great week!

Eric and Deva’s Baptism!!

21 04 2016

What a great week! My testimony in the power of priesthood blessings grew, Eric was baptized, Deva was baptized, and Kobe scored 60 points in the final game of his NBA career. #BlackMamba
#FinishStrong

Earlier this week I started to feel sick. It hit me like ton of bricks one night and I was not very happy. I knew exactly what it was because I had felt it about 2 months ago in Lake Elsinore and it lasted for about 2 weeks…. I remember writing to you all about how stubborn I was in asking for a priesthood blessing. Well I learned my lesson:) I asked for a blessing the next night instead of being prideful and waiting two weeks. GUESS WHAT! The Priesthood is real and blessings really do work! It’s true, I checked! I was fine just two days after initially feeling sick. It’s soooo much easier that way.

Eric! Eric was baptized this past sunday. He had a pretty interesting story. When we first started meeting with Eric, he told us he was meeting with us as a favor to a friend. To make a long story short, the gospel is true! There is a real converting power that comes as we live the gospel of Jesus Christ.

17 If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself..

If you are not sure if this message is true, just do it with a sincere heart and feel your heart change! Although his initial desires may not have been the most sincere, he did have other desires that were sincere. He really did feel a difference when we met with him. When he read the Book of Mormon. When he came to church. When he prayed to his Father in Heaven. As a result, Eric has now entered in at the gate.

DEVA! What a story. She was the best friend of Jessica Betancourt. I remember the very first time we met with Deva. She was pretty stubborn… But I also remember walking away from the lesson feeling that she would get baptized one day. Deva’s courage and faith is an example to me. As she began to live the gospel she felt something that she could not deny. Even though her family had strong concerns about her joining the gospel of Christ, she chose to act on the feelings and impressions that God had given her. And now she has a large church family to support her!

The gospel is so true! God lives! He loves us so much! He will always take care of His children. Jesus Christ is our Savior! He is the Savior of the world but He is also our own personal Savior. He knows everything we go through. Living the Gospel doctrines and principals will change you and bring a new light into your life.

Have a blessed week! Love you all!

Corona Week 2!

16 04 2016

Sorry I didnt get an email off last week! There just isn’t enough time in the day!

Well I hope you all enjoyed conference as much as I did! Those guys are super inspired and they are all called of God. It’s true. I checked. But seriously! I felt so much love coming from all of them! I believe that they see us through Gods eyes. They see how much eternal worth every single child of God has. Love those guys..

Well this week was busy and great! I think one thing that really stood out to me is the power of the spirit in conversion. There is no replacement. The spirit is the most important single element in the work of salvation.

Earlier this week, we were teaching an inactive family. They have been inactive for quite a few years and the ward has been trying to reach out to them and invite them back for a long time now. We had dinner at their house and afterwards, we begin to share a message with them regarding the Book of Mormon. In the last paragraph of the introduction to the Book of Mormon there is a promise and one of the things that we can come to know by reading the Book of Mormon is that the Church of Jesus Christ is the Lord’s kingdom once again established on the earth, preparatory to the second coming of the Messiah. As we read that this member was very touched and almost concerned about the second coming. We began to refocus the discussion to preparing for the second coming and asked her what she needs to do to prepare. After much guidance from the spirit and the Lord working on her heart she began to get very emotional and told us that she needs to go back to church. She told us that she felt a strong swelling in her heart and she has known for a long time that she needed to come back to church. It was such a tender moment and the best part is that she came! She came to church on Sunday and EVERYONE was talking to her! She never stopped smiling. I’m so grateful for the spirit and the role that it plays in our becoming converted unto the Lord.

Well thats about it for this week! Hope all is well for yall! keep it classy!

Padillaaaaa’s!!!

28 03 2016

This was such a great week! Easter, baptisms, and transfers! It ended with some sad goodbyes but that’s part of being a missionary. Fortunately, the goodbyes are only temporary!

First off! Karlee and Joshua got baptized! It was an awesome baptism! It was cool to have their baptism on Easter. We remembered the resurrection of Christ and Him coming up out of the grave and we also were able to celebrate because Karlee and Joshua came up out of the water and have started their new life in following Jesus Christ! The room was packed and they had tons of family attending. I still remember the first time I meet Karlee and Joshua. It was my 1st week in Lake Elsinore. Their family is amazing. I’m going to miss them sooo much 😦

This week I studied, day by day, the last week of Jesus Christ’s life. It was powerful. I don’t know if I’ll ever be able to fully comprehend how He could love each of us so much as to go through what He went through but I am eternally grateful. He is my King, Redeemer, Savior, Lord, and Best Friend. Jesus Christ performed countless miracles. He healed the sick. He took care of the poor and needy. He established his church. He was the Master teacher. He loved His friends, neighbors, enemies. He wrought out a perfect and infinite atonement through which we can all be forgiven, strengthened and perfected, and one day resurrected.

John 21

25 And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written. Amen.

BUT….still there were those that did not believe. After all that He did.

Isaiah 53

3 He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.

4 ¶Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.

5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

He was despised and rejected. Despised means that they regarded him to be unworthy of notice or consideration. They thought of Him as worthless. To be rejected means that they thought of Him as not good enough for some purpose. To be discarded as useless or unsatisfactory. Some people still do the same.

Even through the rejection that He faced He never uttered a word of complaint. People regarded him as worthless and useless. They spat upon him. They mocked him. They hung him on the cross which was thought to be the most painful and humiliating form of execution. Yet He submitted to the Father’s will. But most importantly, He lives today!!

I’m so thankful for my Savior. I love Him. I’m honored, proud, and lucky to be able to say I know that my Redeemer lives. I’m grateful for this past Easter season to reflect on His atonement and to help others come to a knowledge and understanding of all that He has to offer them.

Well that’s all for this week! I hope that everyone has had a great Easter! Love you all!

Have a great week!

Hallelujah!!! And Some of my Favorite Scriptures

21 03 2016

Hallelujah—Hebrew for “Praise ye the Lord.” But what does it really mean? As we celebrate the Resurrection of Jesus Christ this Easter, discover how this ancient exclamation of joy, hope, and love is a fitting summary of Christ’s incomparable mission—and His promise of new life for us all.
https://www.mormon.org/easter?cid=HP_SU_3-13-2016_dMIS_fSPC_xLIDyL1-A_

If you haven’t had the chance to hop onto the new website to view the Easter video, then do it!! It’s probably my favorite holiday video yet. I get chills every time. Also, watching it is just the first step! After you watch it you can even grab a non-member friend and watch it with them! This is the perfect time of the year to do it. There are many people who are pondering and looking for “New life” but they know not where to find it. You could be the one to help them find new life! Just dooooo it!

So many people are really looking for the light of Christ in their lives. Let’s compare what they will feel with the gospel in their lives compared to what they may be feeling without it.
With the gospel: Everything that there is good, pure, holy, God-like, exalting, ennobling, extending the ideas, the capacities of the intelligent beings that our Heavenly Father has brought forth upon this earth.

Without the gospel: They experience darkness, ignorance, doubt, pain, sorrow, grief, mourning, unhappiness; no person to condole [lament] with in the hour of trouble, no arm to lean upon in the day of calamity, no eye to pity when they are forlorn and cast down; and I comprehend it by saying death, hell and the grave.

By the way, I grabbed that from “Preventing personal apostasy” by Brigham Young.

Think about your friends. If you really love them, you want whats best for them. You want to share the things that are special to you. PLEASE share the Spirit of Christ this Easter. You will make a difference. The people that you share this video with WILL feel the spirit. I promise. You will not lose a friendship because you shared this video with someone. After they watch it, invite them to come to church and meet with the missionaries. If they say no, then at least you’ve invited someone. You at least played the game. Not inviting is like going to a championship game and not participating! Then never knowing what kind of difference you could have made.

Anyway… It’s been a great week! I love you all! I hope you are enjoying the wonderful march madness season… But remember! Its also the Easter Season!

Have a great week!

Previous Week’s Letter

Not much time…

But here are some of my favorite scriptures from the week!:)

D&C 97:8

8 Verily I say unto you, all among them who know their hearts are honest, and are broken, and their spirits contrite, and are willing to observe their covenants by sacrifice—yea, every sacrifice which I, the Lord, shall command—they are accepted of me.
Alma 43:1

1 And now it came to pass that the sons of Alma did go forth among the people, to declare the word unto them. And Alma, also, himself, could not rest, and he also went forth.
Ether 12:2
2 And Ether was a prophet of the Lord; wherefore Ether came forth in the days of Coriantumr, and began to prophesy unto the people, for he could not be restrained because of the Spirit of the Lord which was in him.
Moroni 9:6

6 And now, my beloved son, notwithstanding their hardness, let us labor diligently; for if we should cease to labor, we should be brought under condemnation; for we have a labor to perform whilst in this tabernacle of clay, that we may conquer the enemy of all righteousness, and rest our souls in the kingdom of God.

All of these scriptures are the word of God. And they are awesome!

Hope you all have a great week!

Come to the Mountain of the Lord!

16 03 2016

This week was the temple week! It was my last one out here so that was pretty bittersweet. Mostly bitter. But I had an amazing experience as usual! The temple is truly a place where we can feel peace, gain guidance and direction, and receive answers. Pretty awesome place so if you haven’t been lately, you should check it out!

This week I believe I learned what it means to really love someone. There are some people that I’ve met that I feel such a close connection to. It’s almost like you’re family. I wish that I could give them EVERYTHING. One family comes to mind that weve been working with recently. I feel like I’ve known them for my entire life. About half of their family has been baptized. I want nothing more than to see their entire family at church and on the road to baptism and confirmation. To begin their journey to eternal life together forever. We came sooooo close this week! One of their daughters texted me and she was so excited because her dad had a turn in attitude and said that he wanted his whole family to come to church. Unfortunately, because of last minute circumstances that arose, they were not able to make it.

Following that experience I was reflecting on why it meant so much to me. Or why their family means so much to me. I realized that Heavenly Father has truly blessed me with an increased capacity to love them. I believe that I saw through His eyes a tiny bit of how He feels for us. How much He truly loves us. Then my mind just took off! I felt such a love and desire to help them to learn of the gospel and of their Savior. I wanted them to come to church so badly and to have an amazing experience. I wanted to see all 12 of them at church taking up an entire row. I knew that by doing so, the Lord would bless them for keeping his commandments. They would feel peace, receive answers, gain guidance. There was no doubt in my mind. And I wanted to put all of that on a silver platter and hand it to them. BUT they had to come to church to get it… They still have to use their agency to make the decision. And when they didn’t come, I was so sad. I wasn’t angry. I wasn’t mad. But I was really sad because I knew that by keeping Gods commandments and coming to church they would have a spiritual experience with the Savior. So that was how I personally felt..

I was reflecting on the lessons that I could learn from that. And I realized that if we can care for others in that capacity then our Heavenly Father must really really love us. If I’m sad when these people make poor decisions or go against His commandments, think about how He feels. He isn’t angry at us. He isn’t mad at us. But He is really sad. And He wants us to do better. Why? Because He really does want what is best for each of us. He knows that we missed out on an opportunity to receive His blessings. It’s like He has this HUGE surprise party planned for us and we never showed up….That would be the WORST! But He won’t take away our agency. He wants soooo badly for us to make the right decision. But it is still up to us. It’s hard to describe. I guess my words cannot even describe the love or compassion that I feel. I’ve never felt it before. Not for anyone other than my family. I think about what I use to think love was but I think I’ve truly come to know.

Well I promise you that Heavenly Father loves you all a lot! He is aware of you. He isn’t mad at you. He isn’t angry with you. He has not turned His back on you. He is not with holding answers from you. His arms of mercy are always open. He is always speaking to us. We just have to be listening. He is always on our team. He wants the absolute best for us. He wants us to be happy, to receive all that He has, and to live with Him forever. So turn to him! He loves ya! It’s true. I checked.

Hope you all have a great week!

Love ya all!

The Trio is Back!

8 03 2016

For the third time in my mission I will be in a trio! Haha I’ve loved every trio that I’ve been in so far so I’m sure this one will be great as well. Elder Dunn and I will be getting Elder Fairbanks tomorrow. He was suppose to come in last transfer but he was held up by his Visa. He is from Canada! So we are excited to train him!

Hmmm so this week. This week was awesome! We had an awesome baptism for Arielle and Ashley Flott. As usual for my mission thus far, the children lead the way! If you ever had questions about what Christ said concerning children

(And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.)

Its’ true, I checked. One of the greatest blessings of being a missionary is experiencing the change in peoples lives as they live the gospel. Just as we learn in John 7:17

(If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself.)

If you want to know if this gospel is true and really will change your life for the better, just try it out. Just do it and do it with a sincere heart and you will see the hand of the Lord more abundantly in your life. Arielle and Ashley are examples of that. They may not yet recognize how much they have changed but it’s been incredible to witness it. When we first met them they said there was NO way that they would ever pray out loud. Never in their lives. And now they have been baptized and confirmed members of Jesus Christ church! And yes, they do pray. It makes me happy happy happy.

This week I was once again humbled… I had been sick for a little over a week. It was really starting to get annoying. I told Elder Dunn that if I wasn’t feeling better by the next morning then I would ask for a blessing. The next morning I still wasn’t better. And I was too prideful to ask for a blessing. We continued to work through the week. Then a couple days later, another missionary got sick. He was more humble than I am… He asked for one right away and then I decided to ask for one since he was getting one too. In the blessing I was told that the Lord wanted to heal me. He was just waiting for me to ask.. And now I’m better. I feel pretty stupid. hahaha but I learned from my prideful mistakes. I don’t know why we sometimes hesitate to ask for blessings. Or for the Lords help.. He is so ready and willing to give it. It’s the natural man in us that prevents us from asking for help. Sometimes we make life harder than it needs to be. So I hope that you all will learn from my mistakes and be more humble that me! If your sick, ask for a blessing! If you need the Lords help in any way, ask for His help! He is ready and willing to give it to you. His work and his glory is to bring to pass the immortality and eternal life of man! Think about that! His end goal, his number one desire is that we return to him and receive all that He has. He loves us so much. And if that’s his goal and his desire, then I’m pretty sure He will help us in our times of struggle, sickness, heartache, and trial. Actually I know He will. I checked 🙂

Well that’s all for this week! Love you all! Hope life is treating you as well as it is treating me! I love being here so much. It’s the best!

Have a great week!

“I Give Unto Men Weakness That They May Be Humble”

27 02 2016

27 And if men come unto me I will show unto them their weakness. I give unto men weakness that they may be humble; and my grace is sufficient for all men that humble themselves before me; for if they humble themselves before me, and have faith in me, then will I make weak things become strong unto them.

This is pretty true…. I checked.

The Lord will have a humble people. It is up to us whether or not we prefer to choose to be humble or whether we are compelled to be humble.

I was reflecting on some of my weaknesses this past week. It seems like the same weaknesses have plagued me for the longest time and it has brought me a lot of frustration throughout my life. So naturally if there is a problem we try to think of ways that we can fix them. I was really pondering on why I would struggle with some of my weaknesses. I was also pondering on what the Lord would have me learn from them. I constantly prayed, asking for him to reveal it to me. And asking for strength as well. So the question still remained for me… Why would I still be experiencing these weaknesses? The scripture in Ether says that if we come unto the Lord he will show them their weaknesses. Check. If they humble themselves before me and have faith in me, then will I make weak things become strong unto them. Check. Finally, as I continued to ponder, it hit me. I thought about how things would be without those weaknesses. I thought about who I would be. It brought chills to me. I realized how prideful I would be. To be honest, it kinda scared me. It scared me to the point that I became grateful for my weaknesses. I began to think of all of the blessings that have come into my life as a result of my weaknesses. I’ve come so much closer to my Savior because I’ve realized how weak I truly am and how much I need Him. I felt the spirit so strongly as I finally came to that realization. Ever since that moment, I’ve felt so much more spiritual strength and felt the hand of the Lord lifting me up to rise above my weaknesses. So like I said before. Ether 12:27. It’s true. I checked.
This week has been great. Other than being sick… That hasn’t been fun. But we’ve been extremely blessed. Elder Dunn has been great. We have been having a lot of fun while getting a lot of work done. This ward is on fire right now! It’s so cool. Every week that I’ve been here a member has brought a nonmember friend to church. It’s amazing!

That’s all for this week. I’m pretty exhausted. I think I’m finally recovering from being sick. But keep me in your prayers please! Being sick is NOT fun!

Love you all! Appreciate all that you do. I feel you prayers and support everyday! I really do.

Hope you all have a great week!

Love,

Elder Fischer

So You Want to Be Happy?

25 02 2016

I learned how we can be happy this week! 🙂 And it’s so cool because everyone can learn how to be happy regardless of the circumstances that they are in or burdens that they may be carrying!

I was reading in the ensign this past week and there is an awesome article about how the Book of Mormon teaches us the pattern by which we can follow and live happy lives! So all you have to do is read this awesome, true, and inspired book that was given to us from a loving Father in Heaven. It contains direct specifically for each and everyone of us and it was written for our day!

I’ve heard this my whole life. And it’s amazing every time I rediscover how happy the Book of Mormon can really make me. In the article, President Eyring points out two short chapters from the Book of Mormon that talk about happy people and how they became so happy!
1st: 2 Nephi 5 (So yes, there is important stuff in the book of 2 nephi. No you cant just skip over it…)
2 nephi 5: 27 And it came to pass that we lived after the manner of happiness.

Maintain uplifting associations: Nephi was surronded by those who had similar values as him. This doesnt mean that we avoid associations with nonmembers…But don’t put yourself in situations that are against you moral values. Surround yourself with happy people who will uplift you and make you feel good. There are people that are outside of the church that still have good values! So those associations can extend outside of members of the church.
2 nephi 5: 6 Wherefore, it came to pass that I, Nephi, did take my family, and also Zoram and his family, and Sam, mine elder brother and his family, and Jacob and Joseph, my younger brethren, and also my sisters, and all those who would go with me. And all those who would go with me were those who believed in the warnings and the revelations of God; wherefore, they did hearken unto my words.

Align actions with beliefs:
If you aren’t living something that you believe in, chances are that youre going to frustrate yourself. In the words of Ghandi “Happiness is when what you think, what you say, and what you do are in harmony”. But don’t get frustrated if you aren’t perfect! Repentance is essential. If you aren’t living the way that you believe, repent! Make changes step by step until you achieve your desires!
2 nephi 5: 10 And we did observe to keep the judgments, and the statutes, and the commandments of the Lord in all things, according to the law of Moses.

Accomplish hard work:
The reasons we are here on Earth are to receive a body, learn, grow, and gain experiences. Ultimately, we are trying to become more like Jesus Christ. Now believe it or not, that takes some hard work. I’m pretty far off of being perfect. But as we work hard and accomplish things that are hard to do, we feel happy and joyful.
2 nephi 5: 11 And the Lord was with us; and we did prosper exceedingly; for we did sow seed, and we did reap again in abundance. And we began to raise flocks, and herds, and animals of every kind.
2 nephi 5: 15 And I did teach my people to build buildings, and to work in all manner of wood, and of iron, and of copper, and of brass, and of steel, and of gold, and of silver, and of precious ores, which were in great abundance.

Focus on the temple:
Temple blessings and being happy are pretty much connected. They remind of our Heavenly Fathers love and help us understand why we are here on Earth. As we focus on the temple, we will feel closer to him.
2 nephi 5: 16 And I, Nephi, did build a temple; and I did construct it after the manner of the temple of Solomon save it were not built of so many precious things; for they were not to be found upon the land, wherefore, it could not be built like unto Solomon’s temple. But the manner of the construction was like unto the temple of Solomon; and the workmanship thereof was exceedingly fine.

2nd: 4 Nephi 1
4 Nephi 1:16 And there were no envyings, nor strifes, nor tumults, nor whoredoms, nor lyings, nor murders, nor any manner of lasciviousness; and surely there could not be a happier people among all the people who had been created by the hand of God.

Share what you have with others: Wouldn’t it be amazing to live in a world where all things were common among us? Where everyone could partake of the heavenly gifts that we have all been given! The Lord himself has commanded us to care for those that are in need. Joy and happiness come to us as we fulfill that commandment.

4 Nephi 1: 3 And they had all things common among them; therefore there were not rich and poor, bond and free, but they were all made free, and partakers of the heavenly gift.
Belong to a family: Families bring us happiness!:) What more can be said! I love my family and they make me happier than anyone else! God gave us families so that we could be happy!:)
4 Nephi 1: 11 And they were married, and given in marriage, and were blessed according to the multitude of the promises which the Lord had made unto them.
Be a peacemaker: Youll see a reoccurring theme in the scriptures below.. There was no contention among them! Striving to be a peacemaker will bring us so much happiness. Stop waiting for others to give you what you think you deserve and give to others what you think you deserve. That will bring peace and that will bring happiness. Waiting on others to be peacemakers will only bring frustration. It derives from feeling like we are the center of the world and everyone should be trying to make us happy when in reality, we should be serving and trying to make others happy.
4 Nephi 1: 2 And it came to pass in the thirty and sixth year, the people were all converted unto the Lord, upon all the face of the land, both Nephites and Lamanites, and there were no contentions and disputations among them, and every man did deal justly one with another.
4 Nephi 1: 13 And it came to pass that there was no contention among all the people, in all the land; but there were mighty miracles wrought among the disciples of Jesus.
4 Nephi 1:15 And it came to pass that there was no contention in the land, because of the love of God which did dwell in the hearts of the people.
4 Nephi 1: 18 And how blessed were they! For the Lord did bless them in all their doings; yea, even they were blessed and prospered until an hundred and ten years had passed away; and the first generation from Christ had passed away, and there was no contention in all the land.

All of the things above things are true because they just are… haha no but really. Being on a mission these are all things that we work our hardest to do. And it really does bring happiness that isn’t of this world. It’s a happiness that dwells with us despite our circumstances. Despite sadness, frustration, depression and all the other crazy emotions that you feel during life. So read the Book of Mormon and do these things!
